The results show that the current density increases with temperature for the alloys, while pure aluminum exhibits the highest corrosion resistance. Surface roughness measurements indicate that the alloys have higher roughness and experience more corrosion compared to pure aluminum. Scanning electron microscopic analysis confirms that alloy 7003H undergoes more corrosion than pure aluminum and 7S10 in sulfuric acid medium. The corrosion rate decreases with increasing immersion time.

After briefly introducing the EBM process and the processing factors involved, this article reviews recent progress in the processing, microstructure, and properties of titanium alloys and their composites manufactured by EBM.
